 All wod turnings receive multiple coats of Food-Safe varnish and every effort is made to totally seal the wood from moisture.  Bowls with small insect holes or other natural irregularities are NOT good candidates to hold mosit contents such as salads due to the rare possibility of moisture entering the wood via the natural irregularities.
