300 Ocean Mile Unit L-10
Directions from Atlanta

There are many different ways to get to St. George Island from Atlanta. This is our favorite way since it is very scenic with not much traffic. The mileage seems to be about the same no matter which way you choose. The directions start with Ga. 400 since we live on the North side of Atlanta. You can adjust them depending on where you live.

South on Ga. 400 to I-285 then turn West on I-285
West on I-285 to I-85 South which is below the Atlanta airport
Continue on I-85 South to looking for I-185 towards Columbus then take I-185
In Columbus, on the far south side, take Hway 27 South off of I-185
Follow Hway 27 South towards Bainbridge (there is very little opportunity for
     gas along this stretch so tank up in Columbus if you're low on
     gas at Columbus).
In Bainbridge, take the 97 Connector exit off of Hway 27 heading South.
   This exit is also called Shotwell Street.   (If you miss this exit, the
      next exit is Hway 97 and goes to the same place)
Follow Hway 97 until you turn left onto Hway 302 and then continue
     toward Quincy. This left onto 302 is a "Y" to the left.
Once in Quincy the courthouse square is on your left. Past the square
     is a stop light on the east/west road US-90, turn right (west) onto US-90 at
     the end of the square.
Proceed about 1/2 mile on US-90 and then turn left onto Hway 267 south.
     this turn will be just before the KFC restaurant.
Follow Hway 267 South to Fla. 20 (dead end).
Turn right on Fla. Hway 20 towards Hosford.
In Hosford, turn left on Hway 65 towards Eastpoint.
Follow Hway 65 south for about an hour through the Apalachicola
     National Forest. You will dead end into Hway 98 in Eastpoint, Fla. This is
     where you will first see the Bay.
Turn right on Hway 98 and go about 4 miles into Eastpoint.
In Eastpoint, turn left on Fla 300 and cross the bridge onto St. George
     Island.
After crossing the bridge you will dead end into the main east/westroad of the island -

You will need to pick up your key from Collins Vacation Rentals. Their building is at the main intersection on the island. Just look across the intersection to the left. The building says Century 21/Collins Vacation Rentals.

To get to 300 Ocean Mile Unit L-10, proceed East (right out of the Collins parking lot). You will go about 4 miles. 300 Ocean Mile is on the right. Turn right into the third driveway. Our unit is near the end on the left.
